German, French and Spanish Language Classes are being provided once again for 5th and 6th class this year.6th Class will have completed 3 lessons in each language prior to Christmas. 5th Classhave completed their 5 Germanand Fraench lessons. The three year Digital Schools Coding Project has commenced with 5th class. The children will be using iPads and Lego to learn the fundamentals of coding. Other projects with different classes to follow next year.

Páirc Uile-Aimsire
Cabhróidh cuid den airgead a bhaileofarar óna síntiúis dheonacha i mbliana páirc uile-aimsire nua a thógáil agus a chaomhnú.
All-Weather Pitch
This year a large portion of the Voluntary Contribution will go towards the All Weather Pitch which we are planning to install which will replace the grass pitch at the back of the school. This facility would allow children to play all year round at the back of the school and for training, matches etc.
Ukulele Classes
Successful application to Kildare County Council Arts Division for 1,500 Euro grant to purchase ukuleles for use with 4th class 18/19. The aim is to give all children in 4th tuition on the ukulele. More details to follow.

Enrolment policy: Two changes to enrolment policy to come into effect Sept 2018 :
- A child must be four years and 6 months old by the 1st of September on the year of entry.
(b) Where the number of applications exceeds the number of places available, places will be allocated according to the categories listed below, in descending order and within each category in order of age, starting with the oldest applicant:
- Siblings of current and past-pupils including step-siblings, adopted and fostered children. 2. A maxim of 2 children raised through Irish may be accepted every school year. An informal conversation will be held with parents and child to clarify the child’s standard of Irish.

Enrollment policy: Every November starting Nov. 17 the school enrolment policy will be revised and updated if necessary.
Imeachtaí i ndiaidh am Scoile : Beidh Slua Nua ag leanúint ar aghaidh go 3.45 anois do Naí Bheaga agus Naí Mhóra. Beidh spás ar fáil d’éinne atá ag iarraidh a bheith páirteach.
After School Activities : The Slua Nua playgroup is now being extended to cater for Junior and Senior Infants up to 3.45 every day. There will be spaces for all infants who wish to partake.
CLG Maigh Nuad – Traenáil ar Scoil
Tá GPO ceapaithe anois ag CLG Maigh Nuad chun traenáil a stiúradh ins na scoileanna i Maigh Nuad.
Tagann iarscoláirí Gaelscoil Ui Fhiaich isteach chun cabhrú gach seachtain. Tá an Bord sásta 2,500 a íoc chun tacú leis an scéim.
Maynooth GAA in-school Training
Maynooth GAA have appointed a GPO to organise training weekly in the Maynooth schools. Past pupils of the Gaelscoil assist weekly with the scheme. The Bord is contributing 2,500 euro to support the venture.
